چکیده

Introduction/Objective. The knee joint is prone to injuries caused by direct or indirect trauma. meniscus and ligament injuries, cannot be completely diagnosed with clinical examination; therefore, we use additional non-invasive invasive diagnostic methods such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) arthroscopy. aim was compare the accuracy of MRI objective findings based on arthroscopic examination in case anterior cruciate injuries. Methods. study involved 50 patients treated elective surgery which mandatory visualization structures. We compared findings, obtained from different institutions, for all study. Results. There were included mean age 31 years. showed that Anterior damaged 41 patients, while arthroscopy confirmed damage 43 patients. Medial 27 examination. Lateral injured 35 32 Using ?2 test found no significant difference between methods. Wilcoxon signed-rank shows similar results findings. Conclusion. A comparative analysis value ligament, medial lateral have shown there these two

Magnetic resonance imaging of anterior cruciate ligament rupture

BACKGROUND Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging is a useful diagnostic tool for the assessment of knee joint injury. Anterior cruciate ligament repair is a commonly performed orthopaedic procedure. This paper examines the concordance between MR imaging and arthroscopic findings. METHODS Between February, 1996 and February, 1998, 48 patients who underwent magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of the knee...

Evaluation of anterior cruciate ligament repair using magnetic resonance imaging

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to review the MR imaging findings after anterior cruicate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and to study the value of MRI in assessment of ACL reconstrction using arthroscopy as a gold standnad. Material and methods: Two radiologists reviewed MRI findings of 32 patients post ACL reconstrction retrospectively. Evaluation of MRI findings includes, primary & sceo...

Morphometry and magnetic resonance imaging of anterior cruciate ligament and measurement of secondary signs of anterior cruciate ligament tear.

UNLABELLED Injuries or over-stretching of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) may lead to its malfunctioning. ACL tear, partial or complete, canto the result of contact or non-contact injuries. To conduct morphometry of ACL, twenty six knees (14 right and 12 left) were examined in 21 male and 5 female formalin fixed cadavers. Measurement of tibial foot print of ACL, distance of its anterior ed...
